This bracket base cupboard was found in a home in northern Vermont. It had been dry scraped down to its original red paint. The hand-planing of the boards is clearly apparent and striking. The top, bottom and both sides are constructed of single 24" wide hand-planed boards. Doors are of single boards with a beaded edge. Note the wonderful proportions of wide stiles to the doors. 4 shelves inside make for nice storage. Circa 1820. More photos can be sent upon request. $10,500.
